PURPOSE
TCB-Cafe Publishing & Media is producing a new edition of CHOCOLATE FRENCH, and giving professional and amateur photographers the opportunit to have selected photographs included in the publication.
The black & white first edition of CHOCOLATE FRENCH has been called "magnifique," "For the many with a more specific obsession for chocolate, the book is a must," and "A TREAT FOR ANYONE WHO SAVORS the allure of chocolate and of the French lifestyle." The Revised Edition will include hundreds of color photographs of French-style chocolate products, and will be a cookbook as well as a travel guidebook to the chocolatiers and restaurants included therein..
PHOTO CONTEST THEME
The French Lifestyle Photo contest's themes:
1) French daily life
2) French landscapes
3) French architecture
4) French chocolate
5) Vacations in France or French-speaking lands
6) French lifestyle or establishments outside of France
7) Bakeries, Patisseries, Cafes and bistros that are French-style but are not necessarily located in France. (new)
All submitted images must represent one of the competition themes. Photographs can be in color or black & white.
PRIZES
10 selected images will be published in the revised color edition of the book "CHOCOLATE FRENCH" by TCB-Cafe Publishing.
Finalists (10 will be awarded):
- Finalists will be published in the Revised Color Edition of the book, "CHOCOLATE FRENCH."
- Finalists will also receive a copy of the Revised Color Edition of the book, "CHOCOLATE FRENCH."
JUDGING
The scope in which the image reflects the designated theme will be the main criteria of Finalist selection.
ELIGIBILITY
The French Lifestyle Photo contest is open to all except TCB-Cafe Publishing staff and immediate family members, as well as the staff and immediate family members of the contest sponsors
Photography entries must be the original work of the Entrant. Entrant is solely responsible for obtaining necessary authorizations in order to submit their work to the French Lifestyle Photo contest (e.g. model release forms, etc). Payment must accompany every entry.
SUBMISSIONS
All image submissions to the French Lifestyle Photo contest should be in digital format, submitted either online via email or mailed in a CD-ROM. Photographic slides and prints are ineligible, unless specifically requested by the contest organizers.
Each Entrant may submit up to 3 images in digital format either via email or on a CD-ROM. Only digital format submissions are accepted when determining eligibility. Submitted work must have been created within the last six years.
DEADLINE
All entries must be postmarked by May 12, 2005. Entries cannot be accepted afterwards unless the deadline is officially extended.
ENTRY FEES
The entry fee is $15 for the first image, $10 for a second image, and $5 for a third image. Each Entrant can submit up to three images.
